Like many of you, I hate having to wait a long time in between books from a series that I want to read. So how cool is it that the cover art is done for Book 6 of the Kingfountain series.
I guess you can say that the plot heats up! (pun intended).

I would also like to announce what my next book will be following The Forsaken Throne. After finishing the series, I still felt that there was one more book inside me. For a while, I’ve been working secretly on another stand-alone Kingfountain book about Ankarette. I liked writing about her in The Maid’s War but that story doesn’t tell how she came to be. Many of you know that I was inspired by some historical sources during my history program. So, I’ve just finished writing her origin story. It will come out early 2018. I’ll post more news about it later on, but after having written it, I love it and think you will too.
More adventures to come! I’m in talks with my publisher right now about my next big series. Stay tuned for an announcement about it in the months ahead!

I just devoured the first 3 books in less than a week and cannot wait for the next ones! Your writing is beautiful and I was completely immersed in the Kingfountain world, so much so that I FELT it deeply. I’ve only had that experience a couple of other times with books, and it’s devastating to be done with them. Starting the Muirwood series now!
Loved the Muirwood serious. As you said, I was devastated to be done with them all. I’m now moving on to the Kingfountain series. Looking forward to it, but Muirwood just may always have my heart.

Both Muirwood Series are among my all time favorite fantasies. I hope you will write another, maybe let us see more of King Gideons family and who he had in mind for Jayne. Just finished Maids War and The Queen’s Poisoner and starting the next one. I have always had trouble understanding Richard III, as a former English teacher and Shakespeare lover. I think you have clarified some issues and raised a few more, but that’s one aspect of your work I find so appealing!
I had a hard time with Shakespeare too until Kenneth Branagh came along.
Oooh Branagh. I owe him a debt for helping me in my alter ego as theater teacher. No better example of the nuances of diction. I will have to revisit some videos since you said that. After I finish Thief’s Daughter.
I didn’t know where to write a Thank You at…I hope this will suffice! I’m rereading all your books for a second time now. I can’t tell you what peace, adventure and willpower they give me in my life. I never expected to find “spiritual” hero’s to pattern my life after in such entertaining novels!! I love your bits of wisdom before every chapter. Thank you for being a voice for good in the world. Please include the pronunciation of Tryneowy in your glossary. I love your books. I’ve read all the Muirwood books and am over half way through the Kingfountain series.

Loved the Kingfountain series! I just finished reading the Forsaken Throne and was impressed with the plot, joining of stories (as I also read the Muirwood series while awaiting the Silent Shield to come out), and the way the ending came together. The entire series was full of wonderfully written, page-turners from book 1 to book 6; that in itself is an impressive feat. I have one big issue though with the last book, the ending left the reader with a few unanswered but important questions (I will try to avoid giving too much detail as others might have yet to read the last installment of the Kingfountain series).
1-we have a certain character who passes away unexpectedly, and then miraculously shows up at the end without any explanation of how.
2- we had a trip to the deep fathoms, but no explanation of why, how the trip went, all that was learned, etc
3- we have a mystery key show up around someone’s waist, without any clue how it fits into the story
4- what is the “solution to the ships” in the last chapter? We see that a plan is in place & will be shown in be future, but we the reader will not be a part of that future, as the book ends shortly after.
5- the chapter “Leoneyis” has me stumped. why this title & what does it mean? (As your writing shows, there has been a reason for everything & all things tie together, so where does this title fit in?)
All in all, I absolutely loved the series and waited anxiously for each installment to come out. I was very happy with the conclusion of book 6. That said, the above questions still have my mind racing, and have me wondering if there is one more book to be done on this (hopefully).
I’m not going to answer every one of your questions, but I will say that those who read my Mirrowen trilogy have enough clues to figure out the answers to most of the questions you ask. You’re right about the chapter heading “Leoneyis” being a clue. I have not revealed what that means yet so I can’t answer it directly. But as you said, there is a reason for everything and all things tie together.
