My grandson liked this book. I have to admit that I was surprised by the ending. I didn't expect it at all. I liked the main character and thought he seemed wise and comfortable with himself. He is a strong character with a silent strength. My 8 year old grandson laughed at the ending. So I recommend it for eight year old boys.
I liked the story line, it was well written, unique. I did not have the end figured out before the middle. That makes me happy. I will read this to my grandchildren as an example of grateful v ungrateful. Well done.
